SCP-1509 is an SCP Item found in SCP Secret Laboratory. SCP-1509 is a parang that deals moderate damage and, upon kill, resurrects allied players.

Operational Guide

A bladed weapon, similar in appearance to an Indonesian Parang. The object emits a faint, wispy smoke when its ability is available for use. If the blade's ability is active, killing an enemy human with it will cause a player, aligned with the user, to be resurrected from the enemy's corpse.

In Game

SCP-1509 can be found in Bulletproof Locker №7s located around the map, which require a Keycard with both Containment Access 2 and Checkpoint Access to open.

SCP-1509 is a melee weapon that can be swung with Left Click, dealing 50 damage per swing. Its attack will deal full damage to the closest target, and 25 damage to all other targets caught within its range. After attacking, the weapon is placed on a 0.6 second cooldown before being able to swing again. The weapon deals double damage against SCP-049-2 instances.

Hume Shield

When held, SCP-1509 will passively generate a Hume Shield for its user. It regenerates at a rate of 3/s up to a base maximum of 35. This shield has a regeneration delay of five seconds after taking damage. When not held for more than three seconds, HS will decay at a rate of 10/s. This Hume Shield will conflict with Artificial HP.

Resurrection

Killing a human, SCP-049-2, or SCP-939 player with SCP-1509 will immediately resurrect a player from Spectator. The system prioritizes resurrecting a player that was aligned with the user in their prior life. The SCP-1509 user will also immediately regenerate their Hume Shield to full. Any previously resurrected player within a 7.5 meter radius of the user when this occurs, will immediately gain 25 AHP.

A Spectator must meet the following criteria to be eligible to be resurrected:

• The Spectator must not have been resurrected by SCP-1509 before.
• The Spectator must not have been killed by SCP-1509 before.

The resurrected player will have a maximum of 75 HP and 25 AHP. They will also receive 25 AHP that does not decay.

The class a Spectator is resurrected as is dependent on the class of the user.

*The resurrected player can only become a civilian class under certain criteria. If creating a civilian class would not exceed the amount of civilians currently alive (relative to the amount of civilians spawned at the beginning of the round), then they will be resurrected as a civilian class.
For example: If there were three Scientists at the start of the round, and two of them were alive and one escaped, then a Facility Guard would be created. However, if only one of the Scientists were alive and one escaped, a Scientist would be created.

After resurrecting a player, SCP-1509 will go on a 30 second cooldown before being able to resurrect again. If there are no eligible Spectators to be resurrected, the resurrection ability will be unable to be used until one is available.
When the ability is available and off cooldown, SCP-1509 emanates smoke from its blade.
