Coins are an is a type of Item found in SCP: Secret Laboratory, that do not spawn naturally. Coins only exist to be used in plugins for servers, because of this they can only be added to ones inventory with Remote Admin. The most common use of Coins in server plugins is used as an item that people can use in SCP-914 to upgrade into a keycard or gun.
In the vanilla game, Coins in SCP-914 will just give the user the coin back, no matter which setting is used.
Trivia
- Coins were originally used for SCP-294 and would spawn in cabinets.
- Coins were almost removed from the game in Megapatch II, but were kept ingame due to the coin being used for multiple server plugins. The coin was given an update model and inventory icon as well after it was decided to be kept ingame.
