Coins are an item that do not spawn naturally. Coins only exist to be used in plugins for servers, because of this they can only be added to ones inventory with Remote Admin. The most common use of Coins in server plugins is used as an item that people can use in SCP-914 to upgrade into a keycard or gun.
In the vanilla game, Coins in SCP-914 will just give the user the coin back, no matter which setting is used.
