"In 1924, the SCP Foundation formed a covert special task force, known only to the O5 Council, codenamed the "Insurgency." To the majority of the Foundation and the anomalous world, the Insurgency was a splinter group that went A.W.O.L. with several researchers and anomalous objects. In reality, the O5 Council had created the Insurgency to complete missions with ethically questionable methods and politically unsavory results—while keeping the Foundation's public reputation clean. In 1948, as part of a seemingly routine staged operation, the Insurgency removed several SCP objects from Foundation containment and transported dozens of defecting Foundation researchers to various safe locations. The Foundation's biggest lie had become a reality. Their covert black ops team had defected, and the Foundation faced a new threat from an organization now calling itself by a new name: the Chaos Insurgency. "

Spawning under the "Bridge" in Entry, opposing the MTF spawn, the Chaos Insurgents are green camolauge clad, ex-Foundation members who desire to destroy the Foundation, and spread their word of "Chaos" Functioning like every other human faction, the Insurgents have the advantage of "stealth" upon entering given that only the D-Class hear their arrival. The CI must go into the facility and rescue all remainning D-Class and escort them to the surface. Otherise, they eliminate all MTF or hostile SCPs that stand in your way of winning and getting the D-CLass out.
Chaos can choose to disarm any Scientists they come across and escort them to the Surface Zone. This will then turn the disarmed player into Chaos, while also giving the Chaos two Respawn Tokens.

Unlike other human classes, Chaos Insurgents are not all counted as targets for the SCPs. 75% of every Chaos Insurgency respawn wave will be counted as targets to the SCPs; the number of targets added rounds down as the game simply multiplies the number of Chaos Insurgents spawned by 75% (i.e. in a respawn wave of 15 Chaos Insurgents, it will multiply the 15 that respawn by 75% resulting in 11.25, the game then rounds this down to 11 resulting in 11 total targets added to the SCPs' counter.) A Class-D or detained Scientist who escapes will not be affected by this and will just add an extra target to the SCPs' counter. Chaos Insurgents spawned via Remote Admin will also add an extra target.

Upon spawning, the Insurgency has the advantage of surprise, as only the Class-D and other Chaos will be notified of their arrival via a music cue (SCP-079 can tell if Chaos spawned by checking its map at Tier 3 or above, but cannot hear the same cue. Other SCPs will also be able to see their target counter increase.). <br>
However, this 'element of surprise' is more often ruined due to the loud and distinct noises of their boots while walking on the floor. Additionally, their firearms are some of the loudest in the game.

Operational Guides

Class Operational Guide

Once a mere fragment, but now a formidable military power. Yet they remain little more than a shadow of their old Foundation employers.

Founded in 1948, the Chaos Insurgency has managed to gain power and numerous military assets to use against the Foundation during facility raids.

Their primary objective is to purge the facility of Foundation personnel, and seize all assets that are deemed to serve the best interests of Delta Command — their elusive overseers.

___
"The Chaos Insurgency are a nasty bunch of people. Rumor has it, they used to be Alpha-1. They split away from the Foundations ages ago. Supposedly their vision did not exactly align with what the Foundation had in mind. Why do they raid our sites? Well, their recruits are told that they’re fighting and rebelling against the lies of the world; perpetrated by the Foundation. They’re told that they’ll create a utopia for humanity by using the anomalous. A utopia where humanity is the master of everything. But really, who knows what the Chaos Insurgency actually wants, right?”

In Game

Chaos Insurgents will spawn later during a round as a reinforcement group (The 3 different sub-classes will spawn with different items). Their goal is to rescue all remaining Class-Ds, and escort them to the Surface, while also eliminating any opposing forces left in the round.

Chaos Insurgents win with a "Insurgency Victory" if the amount of Class-D escapes is higher than the amount of Scientist escapes and uncontained SCPs, and all other Foundation Personnel have died.

However, this 'element of surprise' is more often ruined due to the loud and distinct noises of their boots while walking on the floor. Additionally, their firearms are some of the loudest in the game.
