Main article: Light Containment Zone
P-B-3 Zone-wide Decontamination (S) is a mechanic in SCP: Secret Laboratory used to stop the round from being prolong. The process is an emergency procedure started by C.A.S.S.I.E. during the breach to lockdown the Light Containment Zone, forcing people to leave the zone and not camp it, while also locking SCP-914 off for the rest of the round.
Although announcements state that the decontamination takes 15 minutes to begin, in reality the timer counts down faster, which results in a duration of 11 minutes and 45 seconds in total. Once active, the process closes and locks all doors in LCZ and begins to slowly kill any players still in the LCZ, regardless of their health, including SCPs. Once begun, this process is inescapable except for an SCP-106 who has placed their portal outside of LCZ.
Both checkpoints will be kept open during the 30 seconds countdown, allowing trapped players - human and SCP alike - to escape. It should be noted that the elevators are not called down automatically - this is still to be done by players.
Once the process begins green corrosive gas will start pouring out of vents and will slowly kill anything inside the LCZ. Any elevators down in HCZ Elevator System A and B will then go back up to Light Containment Zone and become inoperable to prevent players from returning the LCZ.

Over the course of the round C.A.S.S.I.E. will announce the status of the Decontamination Process to everyone in the Light Containment Zone. The decontamination start line is played throughout the whole facility.
