Doors in SCP: Secret Laboratory have multiple different mechanic, such as resistance, keycard level and opening speed.
In-game
Doors are often used by Human players to slow down chasing SCPs, they are also used by SCP-079 to help SCPs catch up to humans.
SCP-106 can walk through any door that isn't Evac Shelter at a speed of 1 m/s.
There are five main door types, a Light Door, Heavy Door, Window Door, Checkpoint and Gates.
Light Doors are used throughout all of Light Containment Zone and for any non-gate door that requires a keycard with the exception of Intercom Door. Light Doors have a fast opening and closing speed.
Light Doors can be destroyed by Fragmentation Grenades, SCP-018 and an enraged SCP-096, with the exception of the Warhead Activation Room on Surface Zone, which can only be destroyed by SCP-096.
Unopenable/undestroyable Light Doors are found in Entrance Zone.
Heavy Doors are used throughout all of Heavy Containment Zone for any non keycard door. They have a slow opening and closing speed. Heavy Doors can be destroyed by Fragmentation Grenades, SCP-018 and an enraged SCP-096.
Checkpoint Doors are used for Checkpoints and the two doors in SCP-106's room that lead to the Femur Breaker. Checkpoint Doors share the same model as Light Doors.
Checkpoint doors have a fast opening and closing speed and will auto close after a certain amount of time. Checkpoint Doors can not be destroyed by any means with the exception of SCP-106's door which is destroyable by SCP-096.
Window Doors are used through out all of Entrance Zone, Intercom and the Escape Area on Surface Zone. They have a fast opening and closing speed. Window Doors can be destroyed by Fragmentation Grenades, SCP-018 and an enraged SCP-096.
Gates are used for some SCP Containment Cells, Gate A and Gate B plus one gate on Surface Zone that splits the zone into two sections. They have a slow opening and closing speed. An enraged SCP-096 can slip through a closed gate by charging into it, allowing SCP-096 to easily get targets hiding behind said gate. Gates can not be destroyed. The Gate for Evac Shelter can not be opened by any means.
SCP-079
SCP-079 has the ability to open/close and lock doors for the cost of AP. The ability to control doors allows SCP-079 to slow down humans so SCPs can catch up to them.
