3-X Molecular Disruptor is an experimental weapon in SCP: Secret Laboratory. It is an fairly powerful weapon that is effective at dealing damage to SCP subjects.

In Game

3-X Molecular Disruptor is a special weapon that can only be acquired by SCP-2536. The weapon can only be used five times before it malfunctions and no longer works. When used, the weapon fires a beam travels straight in one direction until it hits something. Dealing 200 damage to humans and dealing 100 damage to SCPs.

The weapon has a unique mechanic where it completely ignores Armor, Artificial HP and Hume Shield. Making the weapon effective to kill an SCP that is low on HP but is high on Hume Shield. SCP-106's damage resistance is still applied to the weapon. Damage fall off still applies to targets far away. Targets terminated by the 3-X Molecular Disruptor will disintegrate and fade away.

The weapon's power makes it effective to kill a small group of people, but the long reloading time leaves the player open. The weapon can destroys doors and can easily set off Grenades and SCP-018, allowing players to set these off from an extremely far distance. The weapon can also penetrate through glass a couple times before it shatters it.

The laser visual that appears when firing the 3-X Molecular Disruptor is purely visual and does not actually have to hit a player for it to work. The weapon still uses hitscan like every other firearm. Meaning the "projectile" travels instantly.

Trivia

The 3-X Molecular Disruptor was inspired by the energy based firearms that existed in very old versions of SCP: Secret Laboratory.
