From SCP: Secret Laboratory English Official Wiki

Stamina is a Mechanic in SCP: Secret Laboratory that is used to control the frequency and duration of sprinting.

In Game

By holding down the Shift key, Humans and SCP-939 can sprint at the cost of Stamina.

Stats

Humans

  • Stamina drains at 5% per second while sprinting.
  • There is a 3 second grace period after spawning where humans can sprint without using Stamina.
  • Humans must stop sprinting for one second before Stamina can start to refill.
    • The regen rate of Stamina increases exponentially as the player waits. It takes around four seconds for Stamina to fully regen.
    • It is much more efficient for a player to wait for their Stamina to fully regen before sprinting again. The player will gain more distance in the same amount of time versus a player that starts sprinting after a little regen. Though, if there is an SCP right on the player's tail, sprinting only after a little regen is more effective.
  • Humans can sprint for 20 consecutive seconds before needing to refill their Stamina.
  • Stamina will slowly drain while jumping in place when holding the Shift key.

Items

  • Adrenaline completely refills the Stamina bar then stops it from draining for eight seconds.
  • SCP-207 completely refills the Stamina bar then stops it from draining until the SCP-207 Status Effect is removed.
  • Yellow Candy restores 25% of Stamina then stops it from draining for eight seconds.
  • Combat Armor applies a -15% penalty to Stamina for Civilian Classes and -10% penalty to Military Classes.
  • Heavy Armor applies a -22% penalty to Stamina for Civilian Classes and -15% penalty to Military Classes.
  • Micro H.I.D. applies a -50% penalty to Stamina for all classes. This only applies when the weapon is held.
  • Certain Firearms will also add penalties to the player's Stamina. Unlike with armor, the penalty is the same for both Civilian and Military Classes. This only applies when the weapon is held .
    • Adding attachments to Firearms will increase their weight, which can increase their Stamina penalty. Some Firearms may only gain a Stamina penalty when certain attachments are used.
  • Items that add a Stamina penalty do not affect the regen rate.

Status Effects

  • The Asphyxiated Status Effect drains Stamina by 5% per tick. This effect can only be applied and removed with Remote Admin.
  • The Cardiac Arrest Status Effect increases the Stamina drain rate to 15% per second while sprinting. This effect is applied when attacked by SCP-049 and can be removed with Adrenaline or SCP-500.
  • The Exhausted Status Effect halves the maximum Stamina Bar capacity and its regeneration rate. This effect can only be applied and removed with Remote Admin.
  • The Invigorated Status Effect prevents the Stamina Bar from draining. It is applied by using Adrenaline or eating Yellow Candy.

SCP-939

  • SCP-939 has 13 seconds of Stamina in total.
  • There is a 2 second grace period after spawning where SCP-939 can sprint without using Stamina.
  • Stamina has a regen delay of ten seconds, it regens at a rate of 10% per second.
    • If the sprint button was held for 0.3s or less, regen is instant.
  • For every 10% of Stamina missing, SCP-939's vision range is decreased by 5% up to a total decrease of 50%.
  • Stamina server configs do not affect SCP-939's Stamina.

Trivia

  • When SCP-1853 was first added, it applied a -50% penalty to Stamina. This was later decreased to 33% in a later patch before being removed all together in 12.0.0.
    • The Rainbow Taste Status Effect would decrease the penalty when both were applied.
  • The Exhausted Status Effect is the only thing in game that changes the regenerate speed of Stamina.
