Stamina is a Mechanic in SCP: Secret Laboratory that is used to control the frequency and duration of sprinting in humans.

In Game

By holding down the Shift key, Humans and SCP-939 can sprint.
For humans, this will use up their Stamina. All human classes have the same amount of Stamina, as well as identical depletion and regeneration rates. When a human uses all of their Stamina, they will be unable to sprint until it begins to regenerate.
Unlike humans, SCP-939 has no Stamina.

Stats

These are all the values for Stamina.

  • Stamina drains at 5% per second while sprinting.
  • There is a 3 second grace period after spawning where humans can sprint without using Stamina.
  • Humans must stop sprinting for one second before Stamina can start to refill.
    • The regen rate of Stamina increases exponentially as the player waits. It takes around four seconds for Stamina to fully regen.
    • It is much more efficient for a player to wait for their Stamina to fully regen before sprinting again. The player will gain more distance in the same amount of time versus a player that starts sprinting after a little regen. Though, if there is an SCP right on the player's tail, sprinting only after a little regen is more effective.
  • Humans can sprint for 20 consecutive seconds before needing to refill their Stamina.
  • Stamina will slowly drain while jumping in place when holding the Shift key.
  • Adrenaline completely refills the Stamina bar then stops it from draining for 20 seconds.
  • SCP-207 gives infinite Stamina until the SCP-207 effect is removed.
  • Yellow Candy restores 25% of Stamina.
  • SCP-1853 applies a -50% penalty to Stamina for all classes.
  • Combat Armor applies a -20% penalty to Stamina for Civilian Classes and -10% penalty to Military Classes.
  • Heavy Armor applies a -30% penalty to Stamina for Civilian Classes and -15% penalty to Military Classes.
  • Micro H.I.D. applies a -50% penalty to Stamina for all classes. This only applies when the weapon is carried.
  • Certain Firearms will also add penalties to the player's Stamina. Unlike with armor, the penalty is the same for both Civilian and Military Classes. This only applies when the weapon is carried.
    • Adding attachments to Firearms will increase their weight, which can increase their Stamina penalty. Some Firearms may only gain a Stamina penalty when certain attachments are used.
  • Items that add a Stamina penalty do not affect the regen rate.
