SCP-914 is a Non-playable SCP that spawns in Light Containment Zone. It is player-controlled entity that allows humans to upgrade or downgrade certain items.
In Game
SCP-914 can be found in it's containment chamber located in Light Containment Zone. It can be found easily by looking for the "#914" text above a door.
To enter SCP-914's containment chamber, players can use any Keycard to open and close the containment door leading to it. It can be considered a "safe room" against most of the SCPs, as the containment door stops any SCP that isn't SCP-106, or an enraged SCP-096 (Note: SCP-079 is capable of opening/closing the containment door).
Players can use SCP-914 by turning its knob and pressing the button while a object is inside the Intake booth. Once the button has been pushed, SCP-914 will begin to upgrade/downgrade the object. Once SCP-914 has finished altering the item, it will appear in the Output booth.
SCP-914 will become inaccessible during the LCZ decontamination.

SCP-914 has multiple config options that affect how items are upgraded.
By default, items must be dropped in SCP-914 to be upgraded, but by changing configs it can be made so SCP-914 upgrades items held in the hand, or every item in one's inventory.
To Upgrade:
Press E on the knob above the button and set it to "1:1", "Fine", or "Very Fine"
Put object(s) into the Intake booth
Press E on the button.
Wait for the "ding"
Go into the Output booth and take the upgraded object
To Downgrade:
Press E on the knob above the button and set it to "Coarse" or "Rough"
Put object(s) into the Intake booth
Press E on the button.
Wait for the "ding"
Go into the Output booth and take the downgraded object. The object may vanish depending on its quality beforehand

As a Scientist, upgrading your card alongside a Class-D grants the Friendship achievement.
Trivia
- SCP-914 is commonly used by players as a hiding spot from SCPs.
- SCP-914 is the only way for players to acquire the Containment Engineer, Facility Manager, and O5 Keycards.
