Lore
Discovered by the SCP Foundation in Montauban, France following a series of unknown disapperances, SCP-049 was contained through a collaboration of local law enforcement and on-sight agents. Although he claims to know a cure to what he refers to as the "Plague", any evidence or attempt for him to prove his work as led to outbreaks of SCP-049-2. After the death of Dr. Ray Hamm, the researcher overlooking SCP-049's experiments was killed by the latter, SCP-049 has had all allowances revoked, and put under heavy scrutiny.
Description
SCP-049 is 1.9 m. tall and weighs an indeterminable amount due to given his lethality through touch. The thick robes it appears to wear are a part of its body, which despite appear to be external actually grow from SCP-049 - through x-ray scans, he does have a humanoid skeletal system underneath. SCP-049's touch is lethal, causing whomever he touches to instantly expire, and given enough time and with tools yet to be identified, SCP-049 will turn the fallen individual into an instance of SCP-049-2, a mindless, zombielike entity which will be dormant until a "diseased" being comes too close.

- As of late, SCP-049 has gotten a rewrite on the main SCP Wiki!
- Many refer to SCP-049 as "Plague Boy", "Doctor", or simply "049".
- Using SCP-049 to his fullest can allow one to completely force any enemy faction out of HCZ.
- Due to his ability to create new SCPs (049-2), he can reverse the SCP body count at the end of a match, sometimes into the negatives.
