SCP-018 is an SCP Item found in SCP Secret Laboratory. SCP-018 can be used for offensive purposes or to cause a lot of chaos and destruction.

Operational Guide

It’s an average, red bouncy ball; that’s what you thought at first glance. You soon come to realize that this ball has the ability to bounce with great height and velocity. And it doesn’t stop there… with every bounce its speed increases… no… doubles. 

This is no longer the innocent-looking toy you first thought it was. Now it is a deadly projectile traveling at incredible speeds straight towards you.

SCP-018 can be found in a Bulletproof Locker №7 located around the map, which requires a Keycard with both Containment Access 2 and Checkpoint Access

When equipped, it can be thrown by pressing Left Click. Once thrown, SCP-018 will bounce around the room it was thrown in, dealing damage on impact. As it gains momentum, it will gradually accelerate and deal increasingly more damage, break any glass that it hits, and, at high momentum, break down any normal door (i.e. not gates, SCP-106's CC doors, or the Alpha Warhead door on Surface).
After 80 seconds, the object will exit Site-02 by exploding through a wall. This explosion has an armor penetration of 50% and deals damage similar to a High-Explosive Grenade.

A dropped SCP-018 will also activate after it gains enough momentum (most commonly as a result of an explosion or being dropped from too high).

It should be noted that SCP-018 is capable of damaging teammates, regardless of whether FF is turned on or off. However, there is a ten second grace period once SCP-018 is thrown, where it will not damage teammates. After that, it will be able to damage teammates.
This allows SCP-018 to be safely thrown in a group, giving your team enough time to retreat before they begin to take damage. It also prevents a player's teammates from using SCP-018 as a shield, by just sitting in a room while SCP-018 bounces around them.

SCP-018's damage is calculated by its current speed, that value is then multiplied by a random number from 0.9 to 1.1. Afterwards, the game checks what class the player who got hit by SCP-018 is, if the player is a Human, then damage is multiplied by 75, if they are an SCP, then damage is multiplied by 800.

For doors, SCP-018 skips the "0.9 to 1.1" multiplication step and instead just multiplies by 300.
