The Fragmentation Grenade deals damage based on proximity to the opponent. If it is more than a hallway length away it will do no damage, closer than 1/3 is an instant kill.

Note that doors and walls block all damage and most doors will get destroyed if a Fragmentation Grenade explodes near them. Fragmentation Grenades can not blow up checkpoints, [[SCP-106|SCP-106's]] door or the Nuke Room door on [[Surface Zone]].<br>

The Fragmentation Grenade's blast can also push other items and can set off other Fragmentation Grenades, which could in some situations cause a chain-reaction of multiple Fragmentation Grenade going off and along with the push from the blast it can catch some players off-guard.

Interesting, by default, Fragmentation Grenades multiplier damage to Humans is 0.7, while for SCPs the multiplier is one. This menas humans have a 30% grenade damage resistance while SCPs do not. Despite this, Fragmentation Grenade will one shot humans most of the time.

There are two config options to set a limit on Fragmentation Grenade chain-reactions. One allows to set a limit of how many Fragmentation Grenades on the ground can be set off by another Fragmentation Grenade, by default this is ten. The other options sets a limit on how long the chain-reaction can be, by default this is four.

In Game

The Fragmentation Grenade is a throwable explosive device used to deal damage to opponents within its blast radius.
Fragmentation Grenades will apply the Burned and Concussed Status Effects. The time these effects last depends on range, with point blank range being ten seconds.

Usage

The Fragmentation Grenade can be thrown a long distance by pressing Left Click, or a shorter distance by pressing Right Click.
After throwing, the Fragmentation Grenade has a timer of 5 seconds before detonation. The Fragmentation Grenade will blink and ping more frequently the closer it is to going off.

The Fragmentation Grenade deals damage based on proximity to the opponent. If it is more than a hallway length away it will do no damage, closer than 1/3 of a hallway is often an instant kill.
Players hit by the Fragmentation Grenade will be given both the Burned and Concussed effects.
Note that doors and walls block all damage from the Fragmentation Grenade. Keep in mind that most doors will get destroyed if a Fragmentation Grenade explodes near them. Fragmentation Grenades can not blow up checkpoints, gates, elevators SCP-106's door or any door on the Surface Zone.
Due to the fact Fragmentation Grenades can blow up doors, they are extremely useful as a counter to SCP-079 as a way to stop him from interacting with a door. Any room that has a destroyed door, can not be blackout/lockdown by SCP-079. A good tactic as Nine Tailed Fox is to blow up both doors that lead to the Entrance Zone/Heavy Containment Zone checkpoint.

The Fragmentation Grenade's blast can also push other items and can set off other Fragmentation Grenades, which could in some situations cause a chain-reaction of multiple Fragmentation Grenade going off and along with the push from the blast it can catch some players off-guard.

Fragmentation grenades are highly lethal to SCP objects. They also one of two weapons, the other being the Micro HID to ignore SCP-106's damage resistance. Fragmentation Grenades are also highly effective against SCP-096.

SCP-939 can see Fragmentation Grenades through walls, allowing them to warn other SCPs.

Server Config

There are two config options that control a multiplier for how much damage they do to SCPs and the damage they deal to humans. Server owners can edit the config to change the damage multiplier on their server.
